Egg Poacher – Microwave vs. 6 Cup Model

Egg Poacher is basically a useful kitchen tool that makes great poached eggs. There are a lot of great and useful things about this product. Besides it serving the purpose it can come with some very advanced and cool features, such as a precision controlled operation. So, if you like well prepared eggs then this is the right product for you. A good one should be ergonomically designed and user friendly product with some advanced features.

One of my personal favorites is the RSVP International Endurance Egg Poacher 6-c. I am so fascinated at the performance of this $45 kitchen tool. And please, don’t get me wrong if I say that this greatly designed, slightly expensive chef’s essential can be compared to the professional cooking gear and not to mention some other models on the market. Without any doubt it is a perfect product. Now let me tell you what to expect. Just remember that this one has six cups, as the name indicates, and that basically means that it can prepare up to six eggs at a time. So, this is ideal for a large family, but also for large scale use. Best of all, it can cook non stop without any intermittent time consuming cooling sessions.

Also, I am looking for a decent 2 egg poacher so that I can use it in my mini caravan. The best ones are compatible with all the microwave models available on the market. Just remember that the temperature settings always need to be adjusted accordingly.

RSVP is made of high quality 18/10 stainless steel which is great. Neither does the stainless steel have that smell plastic models do have. It takes around 3 minutes to poach up to six eggs with this egg poacher. Just remember, the best thing is not to open it right away and to allow it to cook on its own temperature for one minute. Also, I would recommend you to try out several temperature settings because it largely depends on your cooking stove.

Greasing it is a must and don’t believe the RSVP when they say it doesn’t need oil or pig fat at all. It is not very sticky, but because of the taste I do like to smear it with butter, margarine or some pig fat. By doing so the egg comes out very easily.

Best of all, it is dishwasher safe. Usually I hand wash it under running water because the sticky egg at the bottom of the poacher can spoil the dishwasher. Also, the RSVP egg poacher is very safe to use. It does take a lot of counter space but it can be stored vertically which saves a lot precious space. And at last, but not least, the large handle makes it easy to maneuver.
